Today in this introductory WoW course, I'm going to talk about the three plate dps and tanking classes.

Warrior
The first class I'm going to talk about is the Warrior. The Warrior is probably the premium Tank in the game. A Tank is someone who holds all of the aggro or threat of the npc mobs that you have to fight through to get to bosses in dungeons or raids. What makes the warrior unique is they are made to take a lot of damage and survive if they choose to be a Tank, usually using a one handed weapon or shield to do so.

So, I was pretty excited to try out Cryptic's new Star Trek Online game. I'm not an avid Trekkie; I'm more a Star Wars guy, but I like space, I like beams of light, and everyone has giggled at the term "Captains Log" at least once. After a pretty hefty 6.6 gig download, and 3 separate attempts at installing it, I got the game up and running. I made my first character with only Federation characters to choose from (this early in the beta you can only play Federation) but this leads me to the only feature of the game I really liked...

So a full-scale nuclear war just broke out and pretty much just fudged up your day. But let's forget about all that nasty fallout, nuclear winter and lethal radiation rays, cuz who gives a crap about that? Your computer, television, and even your car no longer works, and that just sucks. How did this happen? It's called EMP, Electromagnetic Pulse. It's a pulse of high-level electromagnetic energy that will fry every piece of electronic equipment you have. EMPs, regardless of what you might have heard, are not going to effect you, your animals or your house plants, but electronic devices are all on the hit list. The good news is they don't have to be. There are ways to protect that precious $1500 Macbook you just had to have (even thou you coulda bought a Windows pc for half the price, doofus.)
